After leaving school in 1984 with ‘O’ Level in Art and Technical Drawing, I was always interested in the arts and all things creative. Unfortunately, it wasn’t until I moved to France in 2011 that I was able to re-ignite the interest and find time to paint. Using acrylics and watercolours, these help me create some mixed media work as well as commissions for pet portraits and numerous wildlife animals.

 

In 2012 we brought some alpacas, so I was looking for an idea of how to use the fibre, when I came across the method of felting. I was hooked and my love of wet and needle felting began.

 

To be able to create pictures with wool roving is magical and really therapeutic. The wetting process enables that no two pieces are ever the same, making them unique. I discovered 3D wet felting using resists. Another world opened up!

 

Lazy Days is approximately 350km south of Paris, 40 mins north of Limoges and 230km North East of Bordeaux. We are nestled in the beautiful countryside of the Limousin. Our property is a completely renovated farmhouse and barns with 2.5 acres of gardens and fields. Our animals include 2 dogs, 2 cats, 7 alpacas, 1 mini donkey,a pony, a goat and chickens who all live in harmony together. Available to our guests are 4 double rooms, all with en-suite facilities. Our superior double is located in our converted barn with a view out onto our courtyard, this is a ground level room, so accessibility is easy. Our large double room is located above the workshop area and has a view over our courtyard. The 2 double rooms are within the main house, both with en-suite shower rooms. Courtyard room has a view over the courtyard and further grounds and our sunset room faces west (clue in the name!) and has a view of some stunning sunsets. These rooms can be for single occupancy or for couples who wish to be on vacation together.
