Wet Felted Amonite - using merino wool we will use the wet felting technique (no experience required) . Learn how to create a picture of an amonite using the resist technique with wet felting.  One and a half day visit required, return date can be arranged on workshop day.All materials included. This can be used once dry to create a cushion cover.

What is wet felting:

Wet felting is the process of using a combination of friction/agitation, soap and water to make felt out of wool fibres. The hot water and soap changes the pH of the wool and allows the scales on the fibres to open up.

Knowledge of using a sewing machine is useful but not essential. No other previous experience is required!

What to bring:

This workshop runs from 10:30 to 4.30pm so be sure to bring a packed lunch. Denise will provide refreshments such as tea and coffee. All materials with be provided.

*Please note, wet felting workshops need an overnight for drying. A return visit is required, and a 1/2 day can be arranged for this.*
